A bit about me
Hi there, I'm Callum.
I suppose I should start with how I found marketing.
I knew from a young age I wanted to do something creative in life. I chose my high school based on the fact they had the best media courses available in my region (I grew up in the South West), throwing myself into my film and English studies. During this time I volunteered to do videography and photography for the City of Busselton's youth events and competed in the Cinesnaps Short Film Competition and won in 2016. I graduated the following year, having achieved one of the highest grades in Western Australia for my ATAR English exam, and received a request for my film and media exam answers to be used in a textbook (I still brag about this).
I then moved to Perth to start a double degree of Screen Production and Public Relations at Murdoch University, however Covid hit and I unfortunately deferred my studies. It was in this time I reflected on how I could combine these areas of study and achieve something a bit more "targeted" (odd choice of word, but you get the idea).
As the world slowly became more unrestricted, I wasn't quite ready to go back to University, so I enrolled in a Certificate IV of Marketing and Communications at North Metropolitan TAFE, and suddenly I had found what I was looking for. I had found marketing as the perfect marriage of my creative flair and analytical mindset. I later went on to complete a Diploma, and then back to Murdoch to complete a Bachelor of Business, Majoring in Marketing.
